Quality Analyst

Pay: £31,000.00-£37,500.00 per year

This role involves collection of functional requirements from system users and

Primary Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis: Understand and analyze project requirements and
technical specifications.
Test Planning: Develop test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases.
Testing Execution: Perform manual and/or automated testing.

Types of testing may include functional, regression, integration, performance,
and user acceptance testing.

Defect Management:
Identify, log, and track bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.
Work with developers to resolve defects.
Documentation: Maintain clear records of test cases, results, issues, and
resolutions.
Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to development and testing
processes.
Collaboration: Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other
stakeholders.

Key Tools and Technologies
Test Management: TestRail, Zephyr, qTest
Bug Tracking: JIRA, Bugzilla, Azure DevOps
Automation Tools (if applicable): Selenium, Postman, QTP/UFT, Cypress,
JMeter
CI/CD: Jenkins, Git, GitHub/GitLab
Scripting: Basic knowledge of scripting (Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus

Skills Required:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Basic understanding of databases and SQL

Certifications (Optional but Beneficial)
• ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board)
• Certified Software Quality Analyst (CSQA)
• Agile Testing Certification (e.g., from Scrum Alliance)
